Loading horses has been at the heart of Sandra’s work for many years. With over 40 years’ experience in the equestrian industry and hundreds of successful one-to-one loading consultations, she has helped horses of all ages and backgrounds, from reluctant travellers and anxious first-time loaders to experienced competition horses that have developed loading concerns. Sandra has delivered numerous live loading demonstrations throughout the UK, including many appearances at Your Horse Live, where her calm, practical approach has helped countless horse owners better understand why loading problems occur and, more importantly, how to resolve them. She has also taught the Leading & Loading the Less Easy Horse specialist course for Intelligent Horsemanship, sharing her knowledge with owners and professionals alike. Drawing together decades of hands-on experience, Sandra wrote Loading the Less Easy Horse, foreword by the renowned Kelly Marks, a practical guide packed with straightforward exercises and proven techniques to help owners build confidence, trust and willing partnerships. Whether working with a horse that has never travelled, one that has lost confidence, or simply refining good loading habits, Sandra’s aim is always to create calm, confident horses that choose to load willingly and travel happily.
